Taft’s bipartisan and diverse federal and state Public Affairs Strategies Group (PASG) has added Christopher Bandy as director of public affairs.
As director of public affairs, Bandy will represent clients in a range of policy matters before state legislative and executive agencies. His experience includes working in various policy fields including criminal justice, local government operations, tax policy, and public policy. He is also well-versed in legal research and legislative bill drafting.
Prior to joining Taft, Bandy was a Government Affairs Manager for Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (Aim) where he developed the grassroots advocacy strategy for additional engagement between Aim members and state officials and advised local and state leaders on the implications of policy implementation in a variety of fields. Bandy also worked as a legislative liaison for the Indiana Public Defender Council where he advocated for Indiana Public Defense policy initiatives before a range of Indiana General Assembly Committees and Interim Study Committees.
“Chris is a great addition to our Public Affairs Strategies Group and our clients will benefit from his extensive legislative and policy experience,” said Kyle Hupfer, co-chair of Taft’s PASG.
Bandy earned his J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Indiana University Bloomington.
