FORUM Welcomes New Supervisory Committee Volunteer

FORUM Credit Union welcomes Robert (Bob) Ellis as it’s new Supervisory Committee volunteer. Ellis is Director of audit and assurance services at Blue & Co, as well as Director of the Aliign practice. With over 31 years of public accounting experience, Ellis specializes in providing financial, accounting and consulting services to closely held businesses. He holds a CPA in the state of Indiana and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Bob is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bob is a past board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Hamilton Southeastern School Foundation, HSE Royal Varsity Club, and the Fishers Youth Assistance Program. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Girls Academy League, a leading national female youth soccer league.

As a newly appointed Supervisory Committee volunteer, Bob will be responsible for overseeing the performance of the Board of Directors and officers of the Credit Union. The Supervisory Committee’s role is to support and review Board policy, maintain internal controls, communicate with members, and oversee operations while working with the internal auditors concerning the audit process. They are also responsible for the engagement and oversight of the independent accountants who conduct the annual financial statement audit. They serve without compensation and are independent of the Board of Directors and management.

“We are fortunate to have Bob Ellis joining the Committee. Bob is a long time FORUM member, fan of FORUM, and he has previously served on our Advisory Council. FORUM’s Supervisory Committee plays a vital role in our cooperative governance, and we know Bob will be a tremendous contributor to the Committee and to the Credit Union,” said Doug True, FORUM CEO.
