Art Center receives Hearst Foundations grant

The Indianapolis Art Center was the only Indiana nonprofit to receive a $75,000 grant from the Hearst Foundations to support the Art Center’s youth outreach programs, ensuring that visual arts education, exhibitions, and experiences are affordable and accessible to all.

“With youth outreach programs that reach more than 1,000 young people each year, we welcome the opportunity to enhance the programming and ensure that we reach even more youth with the community-building power of art,” said Art Center President and Executive Director Mark Williams.

Furthering their mission to help people of all backgrounds in the United States build healthy, productive and inspiring lives, the Hearst Foundations assist communities across the country by providing grants. The Hearst Foundations, independent private philanthropies operating separately from Hearst, have distributed more than 22,100 grants to 6,335 organizations, totaling $1.39 billion since 1946.
