NEXT Fellowship to Help Central Indiana Women

Indy Chamber News Archives

Through its newly launched NEXT Initiative, Women’s Fund of Central Indiana is committing ten years and millions of dollars to fund NEXT Fellows to help women who have been mired in economic insecurity and are seeking a path to economic stability. This is a truly creative and innovative approach to solving an issue in our community – one that is not being done locally or nationally.

After two years of research and community conversations, Women’s Fund found a significant gap in services for women 18-24 – a largely ignored population who need attention and help now. To address this need, Women’s Fund is recruiting talented, visionary social entrepreneurs to develop comprehensive solutions helping these women achieve economic stability.

Women’s Fund is committing the time, money and resources to attract the best and the brightest to this process. The selected Fellows will each receive a salary of $90,000 and full benefits as an employee of CICF to incubate their ideas.

Women’s Fund is seeking entrepreneurs who are innovative, bold, determined, respected, creative and thoughtful - people who believe in collaboration to build successful solutions and effective ways to measure and evaluate their success. Entrepreneurs interested in applying should submit a Statement of Intent beginning September 2.

In addition to recruiting the NEXT Fellow, Women’s Fund is aggressively seeking funding to support NEXT and strategically partnering with organizations and businesses to talk about – and promote NEXT Fellowship.

Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation, is seeking social entrepreneurs to address economic mobility among 18- to 24-year-old women.
