Balancing Act

Indy Chamber News Archives

Mayor Greg Ballard is set to introduce his version of the 2014 municipal budget to the City-County Council tonight. This introduction is the beginning of a myriad of discussions, debates and meetings to strike a balance on funding issues facing the City of Indianapolis.

Indy Chamber advocacy team alongside our Fiscal Policy committee has been vocal on fiscal issues we believe matter most to business. Low taxes, increased public safety and investment in quality infrastructure are among the top issues we feel can and should be addressed by the 2014 budget.

You can watch the budget introduction at 7:00 p.m. tonight in person at the City-County Building or on your local access channel and online. Check here for Council committee meeting schedules and more. The final budget will be heard by the full Council on October 14.
