Alan Pyrz

Alan Pyrz has joined the Indy Chamber as Chief Operating Officer. He brings nearly 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and business operator. Alan co-founded and grew eGov Strategies, an Indianapolis-based government technology and payments company that ultimately served more than 600 government and utility clients across 35 states. Following the company’s 2020 acquisition, he held several senior executive roles, with responsibilities spanning operations, integration, technology strategy, and organizational leadership.

Having built a business in Indianapolis, Alan brings the perspective of both an operator and an employer to the Chamber’s work. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with cities, counties, utilities, financial institutions, technology partners, and other organizations navigating the practical challenges of growth and change. His experience gives him a broad perspective on the financial, legal, personnel, compliance, and operational issues organizations face, as well as a strong technical background in automation, security, technology, and infrastructure.

Alan earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a JD from Indiana University.

Alan and his wife, Jennifer, have lived and worked in Indianapolis for the past 30 years and have three children. They also share their home with three large dogs. Alan is a die-hard Cubs fan and has a long history of volunteering with Little League at the local, district, state, and regional levels. He also enjoys home improvement and maintenance projects.
