The Ruins at Holliday Park Takes Top Honor at Indy Chamber Monumental Awards

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Ruins at Holliday Park received the highest honor of the Monumental Award tonight at the Indy Chamber's annual Monumental Awards gala. The premier awards ceremony honored the most significant achievements by individuals and businesses that contribute to excellence in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, construction, real estate development, neighborhood revitalization, engineering, innovative reuse and public art throughout the Indianapolis region.

"The Monumental Awards are intended to showcase not only the vision and talents of the Indy Region's design, engineering, and construction industries, but also the importance of preservation of our historic city," explains Mario Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority and Chairman of the Monumental Awards Committee. "The Ruins are the perfect representation of this kind of neighborhood-driven preservation project."

The winner of the Monumental Award was selected by an impartial jury of community and professional leaders from the Indianapolis region. All awards were deliberated by sanctioning organizations selected from the specific area of discipline for each category.

Other award winners included:  

Architecture: Parkwood Amenity and Recreation Center submitted by CSO Architects and Liberty Fund Corporate Headquarters submitted by Rowland Design;

Construction: Braden Business Systems submitted by Lauth Group, Inc., BlueSky Technology Partners Headquarters submitted by Meyer Najem Construction and Ironworks Hotel submitted by Shiel Sexton Company, Inc.;

Engineering: The Cabaret submitted by R.E. Dimond and Associates, Inc., Community Cancer Center North submitted by BSA LifeStructures and Butler University Power Sub Station submitted by Cripe;

Innovative Reuse: Cook Regentec Innovation Center submitted by BSA LifeStructures, Overlook at the Fairgrounds submitted by BWI and Florence Fay School Senior Apartments submitted by American Structurepoint;

Interior Design: JLL submitted by parallel design group, KSMC111 submitted by DELV Design and Cushman + Wakefield submitted by Schott Design, Inc.;

Landscape Architecture: The Ruins at Holliday Park submitted by Smock Fansler Corporation, Roche Diagnostics submitted by Landstory, Inc. and The Center submitted by Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf;

Neighborhood Revitalization: The Phoenix Theater of Indianapolis submitted by Shiel Sexton Company, Inc., The Ruins at Holliday Park submitted by Smock Fansler Corporation;

Public Art: High Art 4 submitted by Arts Council of Indianapolis, The Ruins at Holliday Park submitted by Smock Fansler Corporation and "Night Musing" submitted by PHANOMEN / design;

Real Estate Development: 360 Market Square submitted by Flaherty & Collins Properties and 1417 Commerce Avenue submitted by Riley Area Development Corporation;

People's Choice: Allied Solutions Corporate Headquarters submitted by CSO Architects.
