Borshoff awarded an Emmy for Indianapolis Zoo advertising

Borshoff, an award-winning advertising and PR agency, received an Emmy award for its Indianapolis Zoo television spot, “Reptile Rhyme,” at the 53rd annual Emmy Awards conducted by the Central Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The Central Great Lakes Chapter encompasses parts of Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.

The 30-second television spot, which was part of the Indianapolis Zoo’s campaign to promote the grand opening of its 2021 exhibit Alligators & Crocodiles: The Fight to Survive, won an Emmy in the Commercial category. Borshoff concepted, wrote the “Reptile Rhyme,” produced and edited the spot, partnering with a local director, crew, talent and artists to bring the concept to life. The campaign helped the Zoo exceed its summer attendance goal.

“The Indianapolis Zoo loves the challenge of generating public interest and excitement about a new exhibit, like Alligators & Crocodiles: The Fight to Survive. We appreciate our partnership with Borshoff, who worked closely with our marketing and life sciences teams to capture critical information and insights that guided the creation of the campaign. The result was a creative strategy and execution that presented key facts about alligators and crocodiles in a unique and entertaining way, exceeding our expectations and summer attendance numbers,” said Karl Traeger, Director of Marketing for the Indianapolis Zoo.

“We are thrilled to be recognized with this award and honored to share it with our partners at the Indianapolis Zoo,” said Borshoff CEO Karen Alter. “Working collaboratively with the Zoo’s communications and leadership team allowed our team to deliver a strategic, creative – and memorable – campaign.”
