Indy Chamber Announces Applications for Chief Executive Officer Now Open

The nine-county Indy Region is a region where innovation meets performance and businesses and talent have access to the resources they need to meet their full potential. The Indy Chamber exists at the center of that work—promoting an environment where businesses can launch, grow, and thrive. Today, the organization announced applications for Chief Executive Officer (CEO) are now open.

The Indy Chamber’s mission is to drive economic growth in central Indiana by bringing jobs and investment opportunities to the region, advocating for a growth business climate, and connecting businesses to resources and to each other. The commitment to that mission is illustrated in the organization's economic development pursuits, including the expansion, retention, promotion, and growth of businesses in and to the region as well as statewide advocacy efforts.

The Indy Chamber team has made significant strides each year highlighting their ability to be agile to the ever-changing needs and challenges of the region. In fact, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization became one of the key community development financial institutions (CDFI) in the region offering millions of dollars of PPP loans and similar federal support to small businesses (primarily black- and women-owned). The Chamber was later recognized by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) as the 2021 Chamber of the Year for its work as an advocate for pro-business policies. More recently, in 2022, the Chamber supported the creation of 9,500 new jobs with a capital investment of $4.6 billion and represented the regional business community through local advocacy and public policy.

The incoming President and CEO will be charged with leveraging the region's significant assets and navigating political environments with diplomacy and grace as the Chamber continues to accelerate and achieve strategic goals. With exceptional relationship-building skills, the incoming President & CEO will be charged with working in collaboration with regional leaders to promote a bold, unified vision and ensure the Chamber serves as a leading voice on issues related to equitable economic growth, job creation, workforce development, transportation, business climate, and quality of life.
