James Wisdom is a tattooer, fine artist, and educator. James is currently tattooing in Indianapolis, IN, at Artistic Skin Designs in Broad Ripple; he specializes in tattooing Black & Grey, Portraiture, Illustrative, Biomechanical, and Surrealism; he also streams a weekly drawing show on the Reinventing the Tattoo Network. After his tattoo apprenticeship, James began tattooing professionally in 2001. He also pursued higher education and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a specialization in oil painting from the American Academy of Art in 2013. In 2016 he was awarded a Master of Fine Arts degree in studio arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. James is also a nationally exhibited gallery artist and published author.
