Hobnob Economic Growth Summit Puts Spotlight on Indy’s Economic Future

INDIANAPOLIS (September 4, 2013) - On Thursday, September 5, the Indy Chamber will bring together local, state and national economic experts for its HobNob Economic Growth Summit. Additionally, the community will have its first opportunity to hear publicly from newly appointed Indy Chamber President and CEO, Michael Huber.

"I am very eager to get to work at the helm of the new Indy Chamber and this event will give us all a great opportunity to start this important conversation around how we can work together to build a stronger, more vibrant business community," said Huber.

This year's HobNob is a half-day Economic Growth Summit and evening reception that will give attendees the opportunity to learn from top economists on how Indy fares from an economic standpoint and how our region can take steps now to promote future growth and development.

In additionto remarks by Huber, the Summit agenda includes a keynote address by bestselling author and urbanist William Fulton. Fulton, formerly with Smart Growth America, currently serves as Director of Planning for the City of San Diego and is former Mayor of Ventura, California.

A moderated panel discussion will give attendees the chance to hear from area business, policy and economic experts including:

John Ketzenberger, President of the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute
Maggie Lewis, President of the Indianapolis City-County Council
Ryan Streeter, Senior Policy Director & Economic Policy Advisor Office of Governor Mike Pence
Jean Wojtowicz, President Cambridge Capital Management Corp.

The day's event will conclude with an evening networking reception.
