You’re invited to join the Indy Chamber Advocacy team for Pancakes & Politics, formerly known as Pastries & Politics. This event covers the anticipated hot-button issues facing the Indy business community – this edition will focus on economic development. Leading the discussion will be a panel featuring economic development experts, Secretary David Adams, Mayor Chris Jensen, and Jim Schellinger.
David Adams, the newly appointed Indiana Secretary of Commerce, will outline his plans for the state agencies under his purview, such as the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and the Department of Workforce Development. Meanwhile, Mayor Chris Jensen of Noblesville will bring two unique perspectives to the conversation, drawing from his experiences as Mayor and Vice Chair of the Central Indiana Regional Development Authority. Finally, President and CEO Jim Schellinger of Indianapolis Economic Development will share his perspective on getting a greater focus on bringing investment and jobs to the Indy region.
