Just announced, the City of Indianapolis, in partnership with Mayor Hogsett, Representative Andre Carson, Indy Chamber, and Rethink 65/70, received a $2 million grant from the US Department of Transportation. This award will fund the Reconnecting Communities Planning Study to evaluate the redevelopment of the I-65/70 Inner Loop, a project that promises to be catalytic for the State of Indiana, Governor Eric Holcomb, Senator Mike Braun, and Senator Todd Young. The concept of recessed highways connecting our neighborhoods is a direct result of the Accelerate Indy Collaboratory, a forum to accelerate transformational thinking and investment in our region.
