As the umbrella organization for the Entrepreneurship Division, Business Ownership Initiative (BOI) aims to help Central Indiana residents start and grow businesses. To do so, BOI offers free one-on-one business coaching, access to financing, business workshops, and online business courses.
The Central Indiana Women’s Business Center (CIWBC) is a cooperative program in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration designed to promote the creation and growth of businesses by women entrepreneurs by empowering them towards successful entrepreneurship and economic self-sufficiency.
The Hispanic Business Council (HBC) works to better assist the Hispanic business community, by offering networking events, bi-lingual business coaching, and mentor-based educational programs such as the Mentor-Protégé Program and Accelerate Latinx.
The ReEntry Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (REDi) addresses the likely connection between entrepreneurship and reducing the rate of re-offending by providing technical business training and education to incarcerated and formerly-incarcerated individuals.
BOI, in partnership with United Way of Central Indiana, joined efforts in 2014 to boost the quality of childcare throughout the Indianapolis region by providing business coaching to administrators participating in the United Way Quality Improvement Project.

A little goes a long way. The Jacqueline Troy Inspired Fund allows women to support fellow women on their entrepreneur journey. Through the generosity of individual donors, BOI and CIWBC can continue to provide the resources and tools necessary to help entrepreneurs start and grow with the support they need.
Be An Inspiration
We all started somewhere. BOI’s Corporate Giving Circle provides an opportunity for small businesses to give back and join BOI in supporting the growth of local entrepreneurs. Through the generosity of corporate supporters, we can continue to make an impact through our robust coaching, training, workshops, and loans for entrepreneurs at every stage.
