Reverse Job Fair

Tangram Business Resourcing, a local nonprofit that assists companies in establishing an inclusive workforce, and the Autism Society of Indiana, are hosting a free “Reverse Job Fair” on March 6 from 3-5 p.m. at the Rapp Family Conference Center at Eskenazi Health, 720 Eskenazi Ave.

At a traditional job fair, employers sit behind a table and job seekers approach them with questions about their company. At the upcoming “Reverse Job Fair” the roles will be switched. Job seekers are stationed at tables, and employers will approach them to learn more about their skills and experience. The setup is designed to make candidates with disabilities feel more comfortable and confident with networking, while also allowing businesses to easily connect with skilled candidates.

Students and recent graduates from Ivy Tech, University of Indianapolis, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and more will be in attendance and are seeking jobs in industries such as information technology, supply chain and logistics, graphic design and animation and more. There will also be complimentary disability awareness and etiquette training for businesses that attend, but space is limited for these sessions.
