Indianapolis-based exhibitions, events and experience company Ignition Inc. is flying the flag for the current and future crop of female business talent on International Women’s Day by sponsoring a table at the third annual ‘Pass the Torch for Women Foundation’ breakfast, to be held in downtown Indianapolis at the NCAA Hall of Champions on the morning of Friday 8th March.
‘’Pass the Torch for Women Foundation’ is a fantastic organization’, Amanda Fishburn, Vice President of Ignition Inc. commented, ‘which brings together developing professionals, college students and established business executives at that critical moment where students leave college and encounter the complex working world. As a female-led, progressive business, we are more than proud to be supporting this event in 2019 by inviting some of the great businesswomen in Indianapolis who we know to our table.’
Amanda has been personally involved in Pass the Torch for Women Foundation’s mentoring program for the last two years now, with a new mentee assigned every quarter. She says that she has learned as much from the process as the mentees have learned from her, ‘Each person I’ve been paired with has entirely individual needs and is heading for a different work sector, which calls for real adaptability and flexibility in my approach – and that has included looking to fill my own knowledge gaps from time to time!’
Ignition Inc. is led by Amanda, together with her business partner and table co-host, fellow Ignition Inc. Vice President Carrie Logie. Company President Sam Rowe liaises between the US and Bristol in the UK, where the company’s British head office is based. Sam is also the overall company and business group CEO. Ignition Inc. works with leading blue-chip corporations across pharmaceutical, aerospace, education and FMCG markets, with clients including Eli Lilly, Pilatus, Valence, Etihad Airways and Roche, helping companies communicate their core messages dynamically, sustainably and effectively to their target audiences.
The two previous ‘Pass the Torch for Women Foundation’ events were held in a different location in the city, but, thanks to the event’s success (with over 200 women attending, as well as a handful of men!), in 2019 the breakfast has changed location to the NCAA Hall of Champions, where female business executives from every sector will be present, including law, tech, biotech, sports, retail, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and engineering.
‘Indianapolis is the perfect location for this event’, Amanda Fishburn concluded, adding that, ‘We are a city that’s rightly proud of our friendly and personal way of doing business and, of course, we’re renowned for showing our hospitality. The ‘Pass the Torch for Women Foundation’ International Women’s Day Breakfast is a perfect example of all these attributes and more, from our positive Indianapolis attitude and our dynamic local economy to our appetite for positive collaborative and community initiatives.’
