Bosma Enterprises wraps 2023 surpassing 700 million mark

Today, Bosma Enterprises announced it packaged and shipped more than 733 million exam and surgical gloves and 240,000 disposable medical kits in 2023.

“We are proud of the work we did this year supplying health care facilities with disposable medical products,” said Bosma Enterprises president and CEO Jeffrey Mittman.

In addition to surpassing 500 million exam and surgical gloves, the company exceeded 99% inventory, order and data-entry accuracy.

Beyond providing essential products, Bosma also provides much needed employment. More than half of its employee base is made up of Hoosiers who are blind or visually impaired.

Indiana is home to more than 160,000 people who are blind or visually impaired. Nationally, the blind and visually impaired population faces a 70% unemployment rate. Experts predict by 2050, rates of vision loss will double due to the country’s aging population.

“Bosma continues to chip away at the unemployment rate for individuals with vision loss in Indiana,” Mittman said. “We look not only to increase the number of gloves and kits shipped in 2024 but to increase awareness and accessibility for people who are blind or visually impaired.”
