Steve Johnson, the chief operating officer of Indiana Donor Network, is a new recipient of the prestigious American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Regent’s Award. The ACHE Regent for the State of Indiana presented Steve with the award at the Indiana Hospital Association Annual Membership Meeting on Oct. 7.

Steve was one of only two healthcare leaders in Indiana to receive this award. The American College of Healthcare Executives Regent’s Award recognizes ACHE members who are experienced in the field and have made significant contributions to the advancement of healthcare management excellence. The Regent’s Award is based, in part, on leadership ability, innovative and creative management, local and state hospital and health association activities, civic and community activities and projects, the development of other healthcare professionals and ACHE involvement. Indiana Donor Network is the organization responsible for overseeing and coordinating organ, tissue and eye donation across the state. Indiana Donor Network is devoted to public education about donation and transplantation with the goal of saving and enhancing more lives. As one of 58 designated organ recovery organizations in the U.S., Indiana Donor Network serves as a vital link between people waiting for lifesaving organ transplants and donors.
