Making Global Local

Indy Chamber News Archives

The Indy Chamber has recently been named a proud partner of the US Trade and Development Agency’s (USTDA) Making Global Local program an initiative designed to connect towns and cities across the country with USTDA's export-promoting programs.

Making Global Local aims to connect more U.S. companies with export promotion programs by strategically partnering with local businesses and economic development organizations across the country.  By working together, USTDA and the Indy Chamber are supporting the creation of high-paying local jobs through the growth of exports.

The partnership with the USTDA builds upon the Indy Chamber’s efforts to strengthen and grow Indy’s export market, an initiative launched in 2014 through the Global Cities Exchange, a joint project of The Brookings Institution and JPMorgan Chase. The Global Cities Exchange Initiative is changing the way we practice regional economic development in Indy by approaching everything we do from a global perspective.

Indianapolis joins 45 other cities across the country in the Making Global Local initiative. You can learn more about the program here.
