Indy Shakes presents Luis Alfaro’s MOJADA

This modern adaptation of the ancient Greek play MEDEA re-tells the story through the lens of a young Mexican family recently immigrated from Michoacán, Mexico to Los Angeles. This play is full of vibrant characters, humor, humanity and hope; but it also becomes a deep examination of immigration and assimilation into American culture. As such, the play speaks to the struggles of living as an undocumented person in this country.

Come see the play and join us for a post-show discussion led by Mistie Cisneros from the Immigrant Welcome Center.

The play runs from February 16th to March 5th.

Post-show discussions after the performances on 2/19, 2/26 and 3/4.
