Be Part Of The Transformation with Outreach

Outreach will feature an experiential exhibit with work curated by local artists, Ess McKee and Rokh. Miss Indy Juneteenth 2022, Teresa Clay will be the MC and the event is presented by The Mind Trust, an Indianapolis-based education nonprofit that invests in public education to transform lives in neighborhoods across the city. The Mind Trust works toward a day when race and income are no longer predictors of life outcomes by empowering families and communities, supporting teachers and school leaders, and growing high-quality schools.

In addition to this one-night event, Outreach will be featured on the Harrison Center’s Billboard on Delaware St. for the month of September. This opportunity was graciously provided by the Harrison Center and Silver in the City, and it will serve as an inspirational piece and message of hope.

Outreach invites you to join them for this unique and immersive event to learn more about youth homelessness and to support the new initiatives and programs Outreach will be implementing to continue to meet the growing need of youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis.

About Outreach

Outreach is a community-based, nonprofit that works alongside youth and young adults (YYA), ages 14-24, experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis. Founded in 1996, Outreach works with over 600 youth and young adults each year at their Program Centers. They have two Program Centers, one on the near eastside and another on the Old Southside, and these centers provide essential services such as meals, showers, laundry services, clothing pantry, and so much more. In addition, Outreach uses a highly relational model of coaching to connect youth and young adults to resources for employment, life skills, educational programming, and housing, such as its YouthLink Program. YouthLink is made up of two components: diversion, which prevents YYA from entering the homeless system, and system navigation which connects them to housing programs.
