Regional projects recognized for excellence in the built environment; winners to be announced Oct. 14 at Crowne Plaza Union Station
INDIANAPOLIS. The Indy Chamber today announced finalists for the 49th annual Monumental Awards, recognizing projects and organizations shaping the built environment and driving growth across the Indy region.
For nearly five decades, the Monumental Awards have celebrated excellence in architecture, construction, engineering, neighborhood development and placemaking throughout Central Indiana. This year’s finalists represent projects that are strengthening communities, attracting investment, connecting people to opportunity and contributing to the region’s quality of life.
Winners will be announced during the 2026 Monumental Awards on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Crowne Plaza Union Station in downtown Indianapolis. The evening will recognize finalists across nine categories, culminating in the presentation of the Monumental Award, the program’s highest honor.
This year, the Indy Chamber will also introduce the Accelerator Awards, recognizing projects that demonstrate significant alignment with the region’s long-term economic development priorities outlined in Accelerate Indy 2030. Three projects have been selected as finalists for the inaugural recognition:

Finalists were selected through a judging process facilitated by regional sanctioning organizations representing the disciplines recognized by the Monumental Awards. Every submitted project was considered for the Monumental Award and this year’s new Accelerator Award series. First-place projects from each category will be announced during the Oct. 14 program, followed by the 2026 Monumental Award, highlighting the project with the most significant and broad-reaching impact on the Indy region.
The evening will also feature the People’s Choice Award, giving the public an opportunity to recognize a project making an impact across Central Indiana. Additional details on public voting will be announced ahead of the event.
The 49th annual Monumental Awards will take place Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 5–8 p.m. at Crowne Plaza Union Station, 123 W. Louisiana St. in Indianapolis. Tickets are available now via Eventbrite.
