Hispanic Business Council Names Tracy Guerrero Chair, Janmarie Connor Vice Chair

New chair and vice chair to guide council’s work supporting Hispanic-owned businesses across Central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS. The Indy Chamber’s Hispanic Business Council (HBC) announced today a leadership transition for its Advisory Council, naming Tracy Guerrero as Chair and Janmarie Connor as Vice Chair through the remainder of the current term ending December 2027.

The Hispanic Business Council serves as a catalyst for Hispanic business growth and economic opportunity throughout Central Indiana. Through strategic partnerships, advocacy, networking, and educational programming, the HBC works to ensure Hispanic entrepreneurs and professionals have access to the resources, relationships, and opportunities needed to succeed.

As Chair, Guerrero will lead the council’s efforts to advance the HBC’s mission while supporting initiatives that strengthen Hispanic-owned businesses and promote inclusive economic growth across the Indy region. Connor will serve alongside Guerrero as Vice Chair, helping guide strategic priorities and foster engagement among council members and the broader business community.

Guerrero serves as Manager of Air Service for the Indianapolis Airport Authority, where she leads stakeholder engagement efforts with business and community partners across the region. A Purdue University graduate with degrees in Aviation Management and Aviation and Aerospace Management, she brings extensive experience in community engagement and regional collaboration through her service on numerous boards and committees, including HealthNet and the Purdue School of Aviation and Transportation Technology Alumni Board.

Connor serves as President and CEO of Connor Painting, a commercial and industrial contractor serving clients across Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri. A recognized business leader and advocate, Connor was recently named the 2026 Champions of Impact Industry Leader Award winner and a member of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2025 Women of Influence cohort. She currently serves on the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Mayor’s Latino Advisory Council, and the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, among other civic leadership roles.

“Tracy and Janmarie represent the very best of leadership within our business community,” said Marcela Montero, Director of the Hispanic Business Council. “Both have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing opportunity, building meaningful partnerships, and supporting the success of Hispanic-owned businesses. Their experience, perspective, and passion will help guide the next chapter of growth for the Hispanic Business Council.”

The HBC Council brings together leaders from across industries who are committed to supporting the growth and visibility of the region’s Hispanic business community. Council members serve as ambassadors, advisors, and advocates, helping shape programs and initiatives that drive economic mobility and business success.

Under Guerrero and Connor’s leadership, the council will continue advancing key priorities including business development, professional networking, and increased participation in regional economic opportunities.

“The Hispanic Business Council plays an important role in creating connections, opening doors, and ensuring Hispanic entrepreneurs have a voice in shaping the future of our region,” said Guerrero. “I am honored to serve as Chair and look forward to working alongside our council members and partners to continue expanding opportunities for Hispanic-owned businesses throughout Central Indiana.”

Connor added, “The Hispanic Business Council has become an important platform for connection, collaboration, and growth. I’m excited to help continue that momentum and support the incredible entrepreneurs and professionals who are shaping our region’s future.”
