INDIANAPOLIS – Life in Indy, The Indy Chamber’s livability initiative, will welcome hundreds of interns, college students, and early-career professionals to downtown Indianapolis on Tuesday, June 2 for Fast Forward Vol. 5 presented by Lilly, a Medicine Company.
Hosted at Victory Field from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Fast Forward is a free, high-energy summer experience designed to help young talent build connections, explore the community, and discover why Indianapolis is one of the best places in the country to launch a career.
Now in its fifth year, attendees will have opportunities to network with fellow interns, meet local organizations, enjoy live entertainment, and access exclusive experiences throughout the summer.
Employers across the region are encouraged to register their intern cohorts to help them build meaningful local connections beyond the workplace.
“Fast Forward is about helping young professionals see themselves here—not just for a summer internship, but potentially for the future,” said Macy Harmon, Senior Director of Talent & Workforce Development. “At the same time, it gives employers an opportunity to show interns the broader community and quality of life that make Indianapolis a place where careers can grow.”
More than 600 attendees are expected at this year’s event, alongside 35+ community partners showcasing ways to get involved across the region.
In addition to the event itself, registered Fast Forward participants can unlock access to complimentary tickets for some of Indianapolis’ most iconic summer attractions and events, including:
- Indy Eleven games
- Rock the Ruins presented by Forty5 with Citizens Energy Group on the Speed City Stage
- Indianapolis Indians games at Victory Field
- The Indiana State Fair
- Indianapolis Colts preseason experiences
Tickets to these exclusive access experiences are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Last year’s Fast Forward event welcomed attendees from 93 colleges, 28 states and 15 countries, reinforcing Indianapolis’ growing reputation as a destination for emerging talent and opportunity.
