Butler Accelerator for Education and Workforce Innovation celebrates second cohort with Showcase of three promising startups

Three fast-growing startup companies from across the country were selected to participate in the second Butler Accelerator for Education and Workforce Innovation powered by gener8tor. The program—a collaboration between Butler University, TechPoint and gener8tor—includes strategic and financial support for each company.

The selected startups are: Dextego, a New York-based autonomous sales and go-to-market training platform; Subler, a Covina, Calif.-based rental and property management platform for students; and Work Simplr, a Castle Rock, Colo.-based student employment and white-glove outsourcing platform.

The Butler Accelerator invests $100,000 each into high-growth startups in the EdTech and Future of Work industries. Accepted startups take part in the intensive 12-week, cohort-based accelerator program, which includes one-on-one coaching, mentorship-driven programming, $1 million+ in deals and perks, and 100+ connections to mentors and investors from the networks of gener8tor, Butler University, and Indiana digital innovation economy growth initiative TechPoint.

The Butler Accelerator received more than 215 applications from across the country for its second program. The three selected companies were chosen based on their growth potential and investor readiness.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with these three exceptional companies to accelerate their growth,” said Ty Tjoelker, Director at gener8tor. “This program not only empowers these companies but also fosters opportunity and economic development across the Indiana ecosystem. It highlights the groundbreaking innovation happening in the EdTech and Future of Work sectors, equipping learners of all ages with the tools they need to thrive in the 21st century.”

The Butler Accelerator is made possible by a partnership between Butler University, gener8tor, and TechPoint.

“Butler University is consistently ranked as a leader in innovation. Through the accelerator program, we are thrilled to support the next generation of companies poised to transform learning through creative solutions for today’s education and workforce challenges,” said Melissa Beckwith, Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Butler University.

“The education landscape is rapidly evolving in today’s world thanks to the changing student demographics and rapid technology advancements,” said Chelsea Linder, Vice President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at TechPoint. “Programs like this are critical to the future of education. Strengthening the connection between education, workforce development and technology is essential to our Mission 41K goal of expanding Indiana’s tech talent pipeline.”

At the end of the program, the startup founders will pitch their companies to investors, community partners and the public at a Showcase event at Butler University on February 11, 2025. The event will take place in the Reilly Room in the Atherton Union at 5:00 P.M. Register to attend the event here.
