Centier Bank Continues Greater Indianapolis Expansion, Expands Its Carmel Office Into a Larger Carmel Location

CARMEL, IND. (October 7, 2024) – Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned bank, is delighted to announce the upcoming move to its new Carmel branch in November, located at 650 East Carmel Drive. With the opening of Centier’s 62nd & Allisonville branch earlier this year, and the recent branch opening of 86th & Ditch, Centier has 8 locations in Greater Indianapolis with additional locations planned to open soon.

The expansion to this new location marks an exciting chapter of growth for Centier Bank in the Carmel community. The transformation will encompass stunning exterior enhancements and a comprehensive interior renovation, presenting modern materials to unify the aesthetic and articulate architectural details. Centier’s commitment to community will be featured in the renovated, directly accessible bank lobby offering the conveniences and amenities the bank’s customers expect.

“Our move to the new Carmel location presents a wonderful growth opportunity for Centier in the community, offering the ability to expand space for our clients, regional executives, and the new associates needed to support our ongoing expansion in Central Indiana,” said Troy Kafka, Centier Bank’s Greater Indianapolis Market President. “Its proximity to our current Carmel location will allow for a seamless transition and uninterrupted service for our valued clients.”

The 8,894 square-foot first floor will feature a full-service bank for our consumer and business clients, expanded office space to grow the bank’s Indianapolis team, a coin machine, convenient drive-up lanes, and onsite parking. Centier’s current branch at 568 East Carmel Dr. is set to move, just one block East, to the new premises on November 12th.

The building has maintained a solid presence in the banking industry for around 45 years and will undergo a facade update as part of the Bank's transition from a neighboring property. The redesign includes staining the brick to lighten the building's appearance and adding matching architectural features to the top of the building and the drive-through canopy. A new entrance will serve as the focal point for the Bank, enhancing the overall aesthetic and modernizing the structure. Centier Bank signage will also adorn the top of the building upon completion.

“We have proudly served the residents and businesses of Carmel since entering the market in 2011, and this expansion sets the stage for continued community impact into the future,” said Michael E. Schrage, Centier Bank’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. “Centier’s recent and upcoming growth throughout Greater Indianapolis is delivering new and improved locations alongside meaningful local investment through volunteering, philanthropy, sponsorships, and more, reinforcing our community bank’s values and long-term commitment to the area.”

For the past seven years, Forbes has ranked Centier on the Indiana Best-in-State Banks list, while American Banker recognized it as the No. 1 “Best Bank to Work For” in Indiana, and tenth overall in the US, for 2023. The Indiana Chamber also recognized Centier Bank at its annual Best Places to Work Awards for the 18th consecutive year.
