Welcome our 2024 Jingle Bell Run Honorees and Event Chairs

The Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run® Brings Indianapolis Together for a Festive 5K and 10K to Raise Funds and Awareness for Arthritis Research.

Indianapolis, Indiana – October 7, 2024 - Jingle Bell Run returns to bring holiday cheer to Indianapolis on December 7, 2024 with the goal of raising $125,000 this year. This family-friendly, holiday-themed 5K and 10K run or walk with 1 mile doggie route at NCAA Hall of Champions encourages participants to dress in festive costumes and get moving to raise awareness and funds to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

Taking place in more than 100 cities nationwide, the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run benefits the nearly 60 million adults and hundreds of thousands of children in the U.S. who are living with arthritis every day. From funding cutting-edge research for new treatments, and ultimately a cure, to advocating for health care access, the Arthritis Foundation helps people with arthritis score everyday victories, one step at a time.

“Jingle Bell Run is a 40 tradition in Indianapolis, and we’re looking forward to bringing extra holiday cheer to town this year,” said Sandra Messner. “Our honorees and volunteers are who make Jingle Bell Run successful and memorable every year, and this year we’re humbled to honor all honoree, who is a true arthritis champion and continually commits their time to raising awareness and funds for our cause.”

“When I was ten years old, I was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. While it can make it hurt to walk, I can still do things that I enjoy. I dance ballet, play the piano, and stay very active despite my arthritis. I have had to struggle through several years of tests, treatments, medicines, and more medical appointments than I would ever want to count. Some of those medicines did not work well for me. Others had side effects worse than my arthritis itself. I am fundraising to fund research that I hope will help kids like me in the future.” said Violet Lillian.

Jingle Bell Run is nationally sponsored by Novartis and Zoetis. Local sponsors include OrthoIndy, Cirkul, Cumulus, Bosma Enterprises, Meijer Specialty Pharmacy, and Carmel Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
