Indy Chamber Announces 2024 Candidate Endorsements

Indy Chamber's Business Advocacy Committee releases endorsements for statewide and legislative races.

Ind. (Aug. 22, 2024) – The Indy Chamber's Business Advocacy Committee (BAC), which serves as the organization's political voice and electoral engagement arm, is proud to announce its candidate endorsements for the 2024 election cycle. This year’s endorsements spotlight leaders from across the state who share the Chamber's commitment to continued economic growth through the attraction, cultivation, and retention of business investment and skilled workforce across the Hoosier state.

Matt Mindrum, president and CEO of the Indy Chamber, emphasized the significance of this year’s endorsements: "Our endorsements reflect a shared commitment to making Indiana's economy the best in the Midwest and ensuring that all Hoosier businesses and residents have the opportunity to thrive. His track record of building and sustaining a successful company in Jasper—and leveraging those experiences to advance pro-business policy in the statehouse and Washington., D.C. - demonstrates his dedication to Indiana's growth and prosperity.

Candidates across the aisle and throughout the state are coming together to support business initiatives vital to Central Indiana's economic strength, which is closely tied to the vitality of its small businesses. The region's leadership in GDP growth, driven by small businesses and local innovation, makes it a top performer in the Midwest.

Taylor Hughes, chief strategy officer and chief of staff at the Indy Chamber, also highlighted the importance of this election cycle: "The future of our region and state hinges on electing leaders who will invest in our communities, our people, and our businesses—especially small businesses.
