(Indianapolis, IN) July 31, 2024 – Approximately half a million Hoosiers, or one in twelve, meet the criteria for substance use disorder according to IN.gov. In response, Recovery Centers of America at Indianapolis is hosting “Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers,” a free and open-to-the-public event dedicated to educating the public about substance use disorders (SUD), co-occurring mental health conditions and addiction treatment. The event will take place from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, August 22, at 8530 Township Line Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
Highlights include:
- Opening Remarks – RCA Indy’s CEO, Christine Schultz setting the stage for an afternoon of connection and community building.
- RCA Indy Clinical Care – Meet the expert Indy team and learn about our facility’s comprehensive offerings and success stories. A presentation by Dr. Pete Vernig, VP of Mental Health Services, will highlight our evidence-based Continuum of Care Model.
- Tour of Facility – Take a guided tour of our state-of-the-art facility. Discover the amenities and services that make RCA Indy a leader in addiction recovery and mental health support.
- Award Ceremony – Celebrate those making a significant impact in the substance use disorders, mental health, and addiction recovery space.
