Happy 50th Birthday to Meyer Material Handling Products, Inc.

In a time when businesses come and go any business that survives 50 years is quite an accomplishment.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 1, 2024 -- Meyer Material Handling Products, Inc. marks 50 years, serving central Indiana, providing Material Handling Equipment Products. Personal service and competitive pricing explain why Meyer has achieved this milestone.

"Carolyn and I decided to start a material handling business in 1974, using catalogs as a way to reach customers. Over the years, we expanded steadily, moving from a small bedroom to a warehouse operation with a dedicated sales team." said Wayne Meyer, founder. He continued "Our strategic planning allowed us to effectively scale our operations to meet the growing demands of our customers. As we approach our 50th year anniversary on July 1, 2024, we reflect proudly on how far we've come. Our material handling business has exceeded our initial expectations, flourishing beyond our wildest dreams. This success wouldn't have been possible without our passionate team and the solid foundation we've built over the decades. With a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction we look forward to many more years of success in the world of material handling."

From the beginning on July 1, 1974, Meyer supplied material handling and storage solutions for customers in central Indiana. As the product line and company grew, the geographic sales area expanded across the U.S. To assist the sales growth the company moved into the current larger facility and added additional functions of Engineering and Installation Services to support Sales. In 2008 a National Women's Business Enterprise Certificate was granted to the company.

"I am honored to commemorate Meyer Material Handling Products' 50th anniversary," said Jill Calkins, Chairman of the Board. "What began as a vision by my parents five decades ago has grown into a legacy of excellence in providing top-tier solutions for material handling challenges. This milestone celebrates not only our longevity but also the dedication of our team and the trust of our valued customers. Looking ahead, we reaffirm our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction as we continue to lead and shape the future of material handling. Here's to fifty years of achievement and to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead."

Meyer would like to thank all of our customers and suppliers who assisted us in reaching this milestone. We look forward to the next stage in our company's history by continuing to supply quality solutions and services to the industry.
