CNO Financial Employees Move Into New Carmel Headquarters

CNO Financial Group is embracing a future of hybrid work this week as it moves its workforce to a new corporate headquarters in Carmel while still retaining its flexible hybrid work environment. The new space offers associates who come onsite with reimagined office facilities that provide collaborative environments and new amenities such as an employee health clinic, fitness center, café, conference facilities and outdoor green spaces. Still, the company remains committed to offering its employees choice in where and how they do their work.

The new environment is an option for more than 1,100 Indianapolis-based associates who choose to work in the office. It is also a testament to the company’s continued commitment to the Carmel community. The new location is at 11299 Illinois Street in the building also occupied by OPENLANE, Inc. More than 400 came to celebrate the new space and check out the offerings on Thursday.

CNO’s previous headquarters campus at 11825 N. Pennsylvania Street is up for sale and real estate experts believe continued demand for office space in Carmel will make it a great location for redevelopment. CNO’s move was an effort to reduce its footprint in the now-hybrid way of working, but more importantly, the company has been focused on creating the right space for associates to gather and work in ways that have evolved over the last few years.

“We conducted surveys and gathered feedback from our leaders and associates, and our new environment is designed specifically for the reasons people gather in an office in this new era of hybrid work,” said Matthew Woodruff, Vice President of Real Estate & Facilities for CNO Financial.

“We’re committed to giving our associates choice, and this new environment is a great choice for those times when teams need and want physical proximity to collaborate.”

This week’s “grand welcoming” kicked off a month of activities that will encourage what CNO leaders call the 4C’s – connection, collaboration, concentration and celebration.

Additional activities will occur regularly at the facility to encourage the 4C’s, including “Walking Wednesdays” and “Connection Chats” with leaders.
