Effective communication is a crucial part of leadership, yet many people fear public speaking. Thankfully, speaking is a skill that can be developed and strengthened. Sharpening Your Skills As A Public Speaker will be held Tuesday, April 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Johnson County Armory. Through a combination of lecture and practical exercises led by experienced public speakers, you’ll gain a handful of tips and techniques to add to your public speaking toolbox.
As a result of this workshop, you will be equipped to consider multiple ways to communicate what you want to say and choose the tools most appropriate to your audience and develop practical techniques for speaking more simply, clearly, memorably, and effectively.
Registration is required. Cost is $69 for the general public and $59 per person for Leadership Johnson County Signature Program graduates, Franklin College alumni, Franklin and Indy Chamber of Commerce members, and Aspire members. Register at:
