Elements Financial Announces New Leadership

January 2, 2024 (INDIANAPOLIS) -- The Board of Directors of Elements Financial has appointed an experienced finance professional to serve as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for an extended transitional period. John Huesing will begin his new role on January 16. He replaces Whitney Anderson who resigned from Elements in late 2023 to pursue new opportunities.

Huesing brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this position, coupled with a strong track record of leadership from his most recent role as Vice President and Treasurer at Indiana University Health and formerly as Assistant Treasurer at Eli Lilly and Company. Having served on the Elements board for more than 10 years, Huesing is already familiar with the culture, values, strategies, and goals of the organization. This valuable experience makes him a natural choice to guide the credit union at this time.

“The Board of Directors firmly believes that John will provide leadership to ensure the continued success and growth of Elements. During this interim period, John will collaborate closely with the existing executive team, employees, and board members to maintain the high standards of service and commitment that our members have come to expect,” Chair of the Board Mark Saltsgaver said.

With decades of experience in treasury; finance and accounting; strategic financial planning; and tax, internal audit, and financial operations, Huesing brings relevant skills to Elements. Before his time at Lilly, he worked as a financial analyst for Abbott Laboratories, and he began his career as a credit analyst for The First National Bank of Chicago.

“I’m proud of this organization and thrilled to serve in an increased capacity for the credit union. My service on the board has allowed me to see the tremendous talent and dedication we have at Elements. It’s an honor to be asked to play a more direct and daily role in shaping the future of the credit union,” said Huesing.

Huesing holds a B.S. in Finance and an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

His community involvement includes not only his board service for Elements, but also for Firefly Children and Family Alliance, and he chairs the board of its foundation. He also serves on the board of 16 Tech Community Corporation and the Investment Subcommittee of the NCAA Board of Governors Finance and Audit Committee.

While Huesing leads throughout 2024, the Elements Board will conduct a nationwide search for a permanent CEO.
