P30 Takes Top Honor at Indy Chamber’s Monumental Awards

Indy Chamber Announces Far Eastside Indianapolis Redevelopment as the Overall 46th Annual Monumental Award Winner.

Ind. (Oct. 5, 2023)— Carson Design Associates took home the highest honor of the Monumental Award for their work on the P30 coworking space and community hub redevelopment at the Indy Chamber's annual Monumental Awards. The Indy Chamber showcased regional entries to celebrate excellence in the built environment among the nine counties, Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby.

Launched in May of 2022, P30 is a coworking, office space, event space, and community center, representing a collective of many businesses and nonprofits that serve the people of the Far Eastside. Carson Design worked alongside P30 ownership to restore new life through community revitalization within the redevelopment. Each connection and opportunity brings a future to life with a strong path toward meaningful work and relationships.

An impartial jury of community and professional leaders from the Indianapolis region selected the winner of the Monumental Award.

Each year, the Monumental Awards recognize the most significant achievements by individuals and businesses contributing to excellence in architecture, engineering, interior design, landscape architecture, construction, real estate development, neighborhood revitalization, innovative reuse, and public art throughout the Indianapolis region. It was the third year the award ceremony took place at the historic Tibbs Drive-In Theater on the west side of Indianapolis, leveraging neighborhood assets for a more interactive event.

All awards were deliberated by sanctioning organizations selected from the specific area of discipline for each category.

• Neighborhood Revitalization: Indianapolis Consolidated Civil and Criminal Courthouse submitted by Schmidt Associates
• Public Art: Transitions by Jackie Head - IND Concrete Batch Plant Fencing Art submitted by Indianapolis Airport Authority
• Real Estate Development: Proscenium submitted by Birkla Investment Group
• People's Choice: The Alfred Amos Legacy Project submitted by Russell's Building Camp
