The Working Hungry set out to collect and share the stories of three families, and through them represent the stories of more than 700,000 people across the state of Indiana who are food insecure. Stories, more than statistics, engage people in understanding and connecting to issues of hunger and upstream causes. Only by showing real stories behind hunger – like those in The Working Hungry - can we truly address the problems that create this critical issue and begin real change for those trying to keep their children fed. We’re sparking conversation and action across the state through film viewings at big and small venues.
After the statewide broadcast on Indiana’s Public Broadcasting Stations, film screenings with meaningful panel discussions will move around the state.
We want groups to host a viewing and engage the audience to continue the conversation!
Interested? We hope so!
We will be supporting organizations interested in showing the film and hosting a panel discussion with the audience.
