FORUM Credit Union Announces 2022/2023 Educator Grant Recipients

FORUM Credit Union is pleased to announce that the FORUM Foundation has awarded $24,981 to 14 educators throughout central Indiana for the 2022-2023 school year.

The Foundation was created in 2014 to strengthen the communities FORUM serves by enhancing educational opportunities through both collegiate scholarships and educator grants. Grants may be used for any direct classroom expenses, including, but not limited to, supplies needed to fund a project for the classroom, basic classroom materials, supplemental items to enhance classroom learning, or an experience to enrich educational involvement.

Since 2014, the FORUM Foundation has awarded over $225,000 in grants to more than 145 schools throughout central Indiana, helping nearly 45,000 students. This year, the Foundation received applications from 170 educators requesting over $329,000 for educational tools from several disciplines including STEM, literacy, art, music, and physical education.

The recipients of the 2022-2023 FORUM Foundation educator grants are:

Meagan Brown, Trailside Elementary School; Jennifer Conley, St. Louis de Montfort Catholic School; Amy Hartung, Pleasant Run Elementary; John Hochstetler, Riverside Intermediate School; Majenica McLeland, Sankofa School of Success at Arlington Woods #99; Margaret Boling Mullin, PhD, NBCT, College Park Elementary School; Shayna Nelson, Whiteland Community High School; BJ O’Connor, Perry Meridian 6th Grade Academy; April Pickett, Smoky Row Elementary; Zachary Rohrbach, Avon High School; Mark Sanders, New Palestine Junior High; Jessica Schwab, Greenwood Middle School; Madeline Seghers, Fortville Elementary School; Brandi Taziyah, Arsenal Technical High School.

Additionally, collegiate scholarship applications for the 2023-2024 academic year are currently open through January 31, 2023.
