About this Event

Whether your business has recently turned remote thanks to COVID-19, or you’ve been thriving as a remote company for years, your virtual onboarding process could probably use an upgrade. Join us as Peggy Hogan, VP of Talent Services, shares her favorite onboarding best practices to help new candidates feel welcomed and invested long before their first day.

Objectives for this session:

  • Review statistics and perspectives on virtual onboarding.
  • Learn four essential components of an effective employee onboarding program: 1) Compliance; 2) Clarification; 3) Culture; 4) Connection.
  • Discuss the short-term effects (i.e., less ghosting on the first day, new employee adjustment) and the long-term effects (i.e., attitudes, behaviors, improved retention) of virtual onboarding.
  • Understand how to utilize new tools, innovative and low/no-cost practices, and provide coaching to support virtual onboarding.

This session is accredited for one SHRM recertification credit hour.
