AMH Group Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

10 years ago, just 2 years into his career as an insurance agent, Valentine Jideonwo found his position eliminated as a result of a company reorganization and downsizing. Within 48 hours of receiving the news, he founded AMH Group/Insurance & Risk Management, with the mission of providing a diverse portfolio of carrier representation, to build and retain client relationships.

For the first two years, Valentine worked tirelessly to grow the business one client at a time before hiring the first associate. AMH Group has experienced many highs and lows, but through it all, the company survived. A component of the company’s success and sustainability has been understanding the fragile importance of relationships: the strategic relationships of its various insurance carriers, which it has the pleasure of representing, and appreciation and care for the clients who entrust their team of advisors to manage their household and business insurance portfolios.

Over the years, the company has positioned itself for growth and expansion in the future. In 2020, Jenee’ Green joined AMH Group; a year later becoming a Sr. Partner overseeing the personal lines insurance services. Along with expanding their life insurance services division, the company has continued developing a diverse portfolio of carrier and brokerage relationships, expanding its service area to 6 states and acquiring other agencies to grow the book of business.

More recently, AMH Group implemented a business ownership initiative to assist and support individuals who are interested in having their own independent insurance agency. Both Valentine and Jenee’ remember the humbling process of starting their own insurance agencies and want to help others gain access to the opportunities and possibilities that are available as an independent agency owner.
