Indy Chamber’s Kate Pangallo Selected for U.S. Chamber Foundation Education and Workforce Fellowship Program

Indy Chamber’s Kate Pangallo Selected for U.S. Chamber Foundation Education and Workforce Fellowship Program

The Business Leads Fellowship Program is developing business leaders to be education and workforce champions in their community and better connect education systems and students to opportunity.

Washington, D.C. (August 25, 2022)—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation announced Kate Pangallo, director of talent partnerships with the Indy Chamber, was selected to participate in the national network of its premiere business leadership program. Pangallo was one of 35 professionals selected across the country who will participate in specialized training to launch successful education and workforce programs in their communities.

The program invites participants to examine the history of early childhood, K-12 education, and workforce development issues, including current policy context. The cohort will hear from experts in each field and, most importantly, will leverage program learnings to better examine the education and workforce pipelines in their respective communities.

“Collaboration between education and workforce partners is critical to building and sustaining vibrant communities where everyone has access to opportunities and advancement. Through Indy Partnership, the regional economic development organization of the Indy Chamber, I feel privileged to work alongside our education partners to address workforce challenges,” said Pangallo. “The Business Leads Fellowship Program will allow me to share my insights with national peers while also getting diverse perspectives that ultimately help advance workforce development and talent initiatives across the Indy region.”

Upon completion, through Pangallo, the Indy Chamber will join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s dedicated network of 200 chambers of commerce and statewide associations from around the nation who regularly engage in education and workforce initiatives.

"The Indy Partnership team is thrilled to hear about Kate’s selection to participate in the 2022 Business Leads Fellowship Program cohort,” said Sarah Iglehart, vice president of Indy Partnership. “This experience will enable Kate to better serve our region as a resource to help unite our education and workforce partners to better drive progress on talent initiatives.”
