Indianapolis Propylaeum Porch Concert Series featuring Premium Blend Jazz Band

Join us on Friday, June 3rd for a free, outdoor concert featuring Indy-based jazz band, Premium Blend.

Premium Blend is led by saxophonist Jared Thompson, Premium Blend is a modern jazz quartet that combines traditional elements of bebop, hard bop, r&b and groove in their original compositions. Backed by guitarist/song writer Ryan Taylor and keyboardist/songwriter Steven Jones, Premium Blend’s spin on jazz resonates with die-hard jazz fans and novices alike. The band has released four studio albums “S.O.A.P”-Sum Of All Parts (2015), “The Road” (2017) “Vices”(2019), and “38th & Postmodernism”- a documentary made possible by a commission from the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation which has accepted by multiple film festivals including Heartland Film Festival. Premium Blend is heavily featured in the winning Heartland Film Festival documentary “Go Get Your Horn” (2017), focused on the continuing mentorship and evolution of modern jazz in Indianapolis. The group is currently recording their next record which will be released at the end of 2022 or beginning of 2023.

This year we are offering 2 levels of support for our 2022 Porch Concert Series:

• Performance Patrons ($1,000): Support the Porch Concert Series through our highly exclusive Performance Patrons package. Performance Patrons will receive priority seating for 12 at the concert. Gather your friends and family and enjoy comfortable seating, complimentary charcuterie boards, 6 complimentary bottles of wine at your table, sweet treats, Propylaeum picnic blankets, and your name in our Porch Concert Series Program. There are only TWO Performance Packages available, don't miss out on this special opportunity!
• Porch Concert Supporters ($150): Porch Concert Supporters help fund the continuation of our porch concert series and directly supports the featured musicians. Supporters will have their names featured in our concert programs, receive 6 complimentary drink tickets at the concert, and receive an exclusive Propylaeum Picnic Blanket. Thank you for your support!

The concert is free and open to the public. Guests can arrive at 7 PM to find their seats and get a drink & snacks. The performance will start at 8 PM. A suggested donation of $15/person is encouraged.

About the Series:

The Indianapolis Propylaeum is proud to present the 2022 Porch Concert Series. This series will feature three diverse concerts performing on the beautiful Propylaeum porch in the Summer 2022. From June to August, the outdoor concerts allow guests to spread out and relax on the Propylaeum’s expansive lawn while enjoying various styles of music. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at each event.

What is seating like for the concert?

Guests can seat themselves and doors open at 7pm. Please bring your own chair/blanket to sit on.
