Taft’s Public Affairs Strategies Group Continues to Grow With Addition of Burtron

Taft welcomes Todd Burtron as a director of public affairs to the firm’s Public Affairs Strategies Group (PASG) in Indianapolis.

Burton has nearly 30 years of experience in public service ranging from public safety to executive administration. As a director of public affairs, he focuses on municipal relations, working with Indiana counties, cities, towns, and townships in a wide range of matters.

Prior to joining Taft, Burtron served as the Chief of Staff for the city of Westfield, Ind. where he led daily operations, managed fiscal policies, and helped shape the significant transformation of the community. In this role, he amassed a diverse experience portfolio that includes operational leadership, economic development, project management, and public-private partnerships. Most notably, Burtron helped lead the development and operations of Grand Park, one of the country’s largest youth sports complexes.

Taft’s PASG and municipal team provide important legal and advocacy work at the state, county, city, and township levels on behalf of clients before legislative, public, and regulatory entities. Taft continues to be strategic in its growth to expand its public affairs advisory and municipal work. With Burtron’s local government experience and accomplishments, he offers a value-add dimension to local governments across the state.
