Former Amazon, Microsoft, and Yahoo! Executive to Speak at Franklin College

Franklin College will host the final lecture in its 2021-2022 Convocation Lecture Series on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 7 p.m. in the Branigin Room in the Napolitan Student Center. The lecture, titled “De-coding Digital Fluency,” will be presented by David Gerbitz, currently the Chief People Officer at Qurate Retail Group. Guests will be required to follow institutional COVID mitigation protocols.

Having scaled organizations in tech, retail and media companies, Gerbitz is no stranger to the dynamic digital landscape. He regularly consults on leadership and business performance in these environments.

He was formerly the Chief Operating Officer at Pandora Media/ Sirius XM, and has held global leadership roles at Microsoft, Yahoo! and Amazon.  The evolving digital landscape is powering eye-popping innovation, exponential growth, accelerated consumption and business disruption. And it is leading a new platinum era of talent. Today’s workforces are increasingly more agile, distributed, collaborative and hyper-dynamic. Gerbitz will lead guests through the digital landscape and discuss the importance and the high reward of digital fluency.
