IndyBar Diversity Job Fair

Looking for Diverse Interns or Candidates for Summer Employment? IndyBar to Host Diversity Job Fair August 5-6.

Dozens of diverse law students from across the country will travel to Indianapolis this August to interview with law firms, agencies, courts and businesses for summer employment at the Indianapolis Bar Association (IndyBar) Diversity Job Fair. Indianapolis-area businesses and organizations are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to add talented, diverse employees to their ranks by participating in the fair as interviewing employers or to support professional diversity by sponsoring the event.

The Diversity Job Fair, to be held August 5 and 6 at the Hilton Indianapolis, is an exciting opportunity to bring together a pool of law students with local employers seeking to hire for summer associate positions, legal intern positions and non-traditional intern positions in banking, accounting or the healthcare field. Candidates from a broad spectrum of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds, sexual and gender identities, and physical abilities will travel to Indianapolis to meet the city’s legal and business community, interview for positions and hopefully decide to call Indy home.

Employers that participate in the Diversity Job Fair gain access to these talented candidates and help to broaden the diversity of the local community. The support of the IndyBar and its volunteers ensures a seamless, organized experience that maximizes both the time and money invested in an employer’s participation. Full and half-day interview options are available for employers, and registration fees include tickets to both the welcome reception and the keynote luncheon.

If interviewing isn’t an option, financial or in-kind sponsorships are being sought. These tangible expressions of support make it possible to offer scholarships, which provide greater access for all.

Contact Lesley Hayes at [email protected] for additional information about interviewing and sponsorship opportunities.

Those unable to participate as an employer or sponsor are encouraged to show support by joining the IndyBar at the Diversity Job Fair Welcome Reception on August 5 or the Diversity and the Law Luncheon on August 6. To learn more about these events, visit ibadiversityjobfair.org.
