The first Tried and True Alehouse opened in 2017 in Greenwood, Indiana and has proudly served over 330,000 guests in the last 2 years. Owners John and Laura Gladish say they are “Eager to share (their) product and business with Indy’s north side.” Starting the restaurant has been a dream for the Gladish family for decades, and they are honored to be opening a second location just after their second year in business. Operating partner Nick Workman says of the Alehouse “Whether you’re on your lunch break, headed to Ruoff for a concert, or just looking for a place to meet with family and friends, stop by for a dang cold beer and cool sounds!” The name Tried and True comes from the old adage, meaning to have stood the test of time, and after spending decades in the restaurant industry, Gladish and Workman have made it their mission to provide patrons with the best dining experience possible by creating a business that reflects the characteristics of dining which have stood the test of time. Laura Gladish adds, “We are very pleased to be serving the northern Indianapolis area and welcome all to come and enjoy the Tried and True dining experience themselves.”
