Pavel Polanco Safadit to present two shows at The Jazz Kitchen (5377 N College Ave) on Saturday, December 29. Tickets are available at www.thejazzkitchen.com, by phone at 317-253-4900 or at the box office. The 7:30 pm performance will be as Pavel & Direct Contact featuring saxophonist Rob Dixon. The 10:00 pm performance will be as Proyecto 54, a 12-piece salsa band. Tickets are $15.

2013 Chicago Music Awards nominee and Director of the Jazz program at Earlham College Pavel Polanco Safadit teams up with Henry Mancini's bass player and 2013 Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame Inductee Steve Dokken and Latin American Music specialist Raul Padro to form an incredible and super entertaining Latin jazz trio, accompanied by Rob Dixon on saxophones.

Direct Contact Latin Jazz is known for its high-energy and challenging music, much in the vain of the modern pyrotechnicians of today’s Latin jazz. Direct Contact is also known to be one of the most entertaining Latin Jazz groups in the Midwest.

Being featured as headliners in festivals, conventions, radio, television, and sharing the stage with major artists such as Dave Valentin, Direct Contact is a one of a kind trio with a unique combination of flavors that will make your experience an unforgettable one.
