International Economic Development Council Elects New Board Members

MAUREEN DONOHUE KRAUSS, CEcD to Sit on Board for Two-Year Term

The Nominating Committee of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has elected, Maureen Donohue Krauss, Vice President, Economic Development, The Indy Partnership, to its Board of Directors for a two-year term. The election took place during IEDC's 2018 Annual Conference, which was held September 29 - October 3 in Atlanta, GA.

Maureen Donohue Krauss serves as the first Chief Economic Development Officer at the Indy Chamber, where she oversees Accelerate Indy, a regional economic development plan announced by the Indy Chamber in September of 2016. Building on her distinguished career in economic development, Krauss provides leadership on programs and initiatives encouraging innovation and helping enhance business growth and acceleration, all delivered through the Indy Partnership, a business unit of the Indy Chamber.

Prior to joining the Indy Chamber, Krauss served as Vice President of Economic Development and Business Attraction at the Detroit Regional Chamber. She led strategy, operations and projects of the Chamber’s Business Attraction program, a key part of the Chamber’s economic development program portfolio. Krauss played an integral role in leading a world-class effort to attract talent and investment to Michigan. Krauss joined the Chamber in December 2011 after working in a similar capacity for Oakland County, Michigan for 13 years, often traveling overseas on business attraction missions.

Krauss currently serves on the Board of The International Center of Indiana and the Matchbook Learning Charter School of Indianapolis. She is a graduate of the Leadership Detroit Class of 2009 and is a Certified Economic Development Professional. In 1994 she was awarded the Arizona Economic Developer of the Year by the Arizona Association of Economic Developers, and in 2012 she was awarded the Mike Conboy Professional Development Award from the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA). She served on the Board of Directors of the MEDA for three terms, and is a past President of the organization. Krauss has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Albion College and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
