INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Kids’ Voice of Indiana, a prevention organization for abused and neglected children in Marion County, announced today that Lindsay R. Faulkenberg, lead attorney for Kids’ Voice, will be moving into the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Ms. Faulkenberg succeeds Eddie L. Rivers Jr., who is transitioning from the role of President/CEO to become the Chief Development Officer.
Ms. Faulkenberg has been an attorney with Kids’ Voice for the past six and a half years, focusing her work in the Guardian ad Litem Program. She has been mentored by Mr. Rivers during that time and is ready to step into this new role. Mr. Rivers has been the President and CEO for the organization for the past 14 years.
The Board and the organization have been planning for this transition as Kids’ Voice continues to grow and expand its reach in the community. This change in leaders will allow Ms. Faulkenberg to use her legal training in the CEO position, and Mr. Rivers to use his expertise in fundraising and donor development. This new leadership team is a strategic way to use individual talents, as well as continue the collaboration that is central to the agency.
“I am thrilled to step into this position,” said Lindsay Faulkenberg. “The team we have in place is amazing. I look forward to guiding Kids’ Voice into the future and continuing the current momentum. The kids in our community need a voice more than ever, and we are working hard to provide that to as many kids as possible.”
Mr. Rivers stated, “It has been a pleasure working with Lindsay, and I am looking forward to assisting the organization through funds development, connectivity, and mentorship as needed.”
In addition to the executive leadership changes, long-time attorney Derelle Watson-Duvall retired from Kids’ Voice in April of this year. The organization has added three new attorneys, a paralegal, and a volunteer/outreach coordinator as well this year to continue the momentum into the organization’s future.
