Indy Chamber Expands Partnership with Anthem through ChamberCare Solutions

Program offers new health benefit and HR suite of services for Chamber membership

March 29, 2018 (Indianapolis, IN) – The Indy Chamber today announced a new affordable health benefit and human resources (HR) solution in partnership with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. ChamberCare Solutions expands on the Indy Chamber’s ongoing relationship with Anthem through the addition of ChamberCare Business Resources, a wider range of options designed specifically for small to medium-sized companies of two or more employees.

“ChamberCare Business Resources is an innovative solution that can add up to big savings and lower administrative effort for companies,” says Rob Hillman, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Indiana. Best of all, it works with ChamberCare Solutions to offer discounts and healthy lifestyle programs for employees. So it’s a win-win for all.”

ChamberCare Business Resources is a professional employer organization (PEO) administered by locally based Human Capital Concepts (HCC), a leader in innovative HR technology and administrative solutions. PEOs allow employers to outsource their HR functions and focus on what they do best – running their business. This unique partnership of the Indy Chamber, Anthem and HCC provides a wealth of experience, value and benefit to the greater business community.

“The Indy Chamber has utilized PEOs to manage its healthcare and HR functions for many years,” notes Julie Grice, Chief Revenue Officer for the Indy Chamber. “ When Anthem approached us about this new ChamberCare offering, we jumped at the chance. Our office currently works with Human Capital Concepts and couldn’t be happier with their performance. We’re excited to share our experience directly with our membership.”

PEOs are a mutually beneficial option for organizations and their employees. Businesses can reduce back-office costs, offer a range of health plans, and maintain compliance with HR laws and the Affordable Care Act. Employees benefit from lower health benefit premiums through the pooling of a PEO’s full client base, as well as improved benefit offerings. According to the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations, businesses that utilize a PEO grow 7% to 9% faster, enjoy 23% to 32% lower employee turnover and are over 50% less likely to go out of business.

ChamberCare Business Resources joins the current ChamberCare Savings program offered to Indy Chamber members of 51 to 99 employees, a discount of up to 5% on any Anthem health care plan. Each plan includes important preventative care services and access to members-only savings for healthy lifestyle programs and health management tools at anthem.com.
