Xtrac Inc. are pleased to announce the opening of the refurbished and extended Indianapolis facility which has nearly doubled in size to 12,000 Sq. Feet. The opening ceremony will be held at 12:00 to 2:00pm on Thursday 11th May ahead of the IndyCar Grand Prix weekend.
Xtrac are extremely proud of our association with the city of Indianapolis and the IndyCar series and to help celebrate our significant investment, we would be honored for you to join us at our opening ceremony.
Xtrac first supplied transmissions for IndyCar teams in 1990 and has been the approved exclusive transmission supplier for the IndyCar series since the year 2000. This long standing relationship has allowed Xtrac to continue to invest in the staff and the facility year on year, with 16 full time professionally qualified staff now working in Xtrac in Indianapolis.
Following the opening of the extended facility, guests will be given a tour of the new build shop where all of the IndyCar transmissions arehand built, the warehouse with extensive multimillion dollars’ worth of inventory and the brand new R&D facility.
As well as supporting IndyCar, Xtrac provides transmissions to other key race series in the Americas such as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship where Xtrac transmissions and differentials are used in the DPi, LMPCs, LMP3, GTLM and GTD categories. Xtrac also have components being used in many other series including NASCAR, Pirelli World Challenge, SCCA, Off-Road and more.
Xtrac’s Managing Director Adrian Moore, from the UK, will be on hand to support Vice President Andrew Heard and the Xtrac Inc. team at the opening ceremony.
