WHITESTOWN, Ind. (Aug. 25, 2016) – The Indiana Economic Development Corporation announced today that Daimler Trucks North America plans to locate its first Midwest parts distribution center here, creating up to 45 new jobs by 2017.

The company will invest $12.35 million to lease and equip a newly constructed 283,500-square-footdistribution center in the AllPoints at Anson business park, which is located just east of Interstate 65 in Whitestown. With construction scheduled to begin in October, the company will fulfill orders for truck parts and expects the new facility to process 7,000 new parts daily which will reach a 350 mile radius from Whitestown.

“When it is time to open a new facility, national companies like Daimler Truck North America keep looking to Indiana,” said Governor Mike Pence. “Indiana’s low taxes, central location and strong workforce have helped Indiana add nearly 150,000 new jobs within the last three and a half years. Today, more Hoosiers are working than ever before in our state’s history. As the Crossroads of America, Indiana offers the perfect base for Daimler Truck North America, helping them efficiently reach customers throughout the region.”

The company, which currently employs more than 20,000 associates across the nation, will be hiring for a variety of positions. Interested applicants may apply online by visiting www.dtna.jobs.

Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Daimler Trucks North America is the leading heavy-duty truck manufacturer in North America, based on more than 160,000 truck units sold in 2015. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives.
